WAVES master the quirks of a .22 target pistol before advancing to larger guns at NATC in Pensacola, FL. Upon completion of the course, they will be assigned to teaching male gunners marksmanship with the aid of electrical synthetic guns.

My grandmother was in the WAVES, and was stationed at Saufley Field in Pensacola. She recalls going to the NATC for some things, but most of the time they stayed at the field. I don’t think she ever participated in target practice there. What a cool photo!
