More Vargas

While searching for some images of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), we came across this image. Like the Vargas Navy calendar girl we showed earlier in the week, this image too comes from Esquire. The WAAC is from their 1943 calendar (the WAVE from 1944).

Her poem reads:

A Merry Christmas to you elf! I’m off to join the WAACs. And serve the country that I love until the Axis cracks.
